VICTORINE MBONG SHU INSPIRED PARENTS AT Women Africa Forum Conference AND AWARDS

Involved Parenting talk by Awards-Winning Author, Involved mother of 4 and CEO of Profounder Intelligence Management Services.

The Women Advancement Forum (WAF) is one of the most highly attended gender advocacy conferences where delegates, women and men from all over the world come together and share ideas on women empowerment and advancement. It was a wonderful day in December at Maslow Hotel in Sandton Johannesburg as Victorine led the conversation on Involved Parenting where she dwell on various topics including the advantages and disadvantages of being a working parent.
Victorine said that it is not easy for a working parent to be involved in her child’s life because of time. Hence most parents cannot attend their children’s school activities because they will be working. As such, their children often feel out of place and neglected. On the brighter side, she said that children raised by working mothers tend to become stronger, independent and cleverer as they are used to doing things on their own. The audience was really moved and applauded Victorine when she became emotional talking about how a working woman can be labelled incompetent at work simply because she is a mother to the extent that she cannot find or she can lose a job because.
However, Victorine challenged women to be strong as they have the power to change systems and urged working women to try by all means to be there for their children even in the tiniest little ways. She shared a story where without shoes on in the morning, she goes to the kitchen to just pour something for her children to eat so they can feel her love. She concluded her talk by reciting a prayer that she wrote for parents on children, what a way to close an amazing conversation?
Shortly after her talk, Victorine signed out books. Her book is titled, ‘Stop Complaining! And Bring Back Involved Parenting”. She also sold books by her 9-year-old multiple award winning daughter Stacey Fru. Stacey’s books are titled “Smelly Cats” and “Bob and The Snake”.

WAF 2016 and Awards was really inspiring for many people. Quite a number of powerful speakers from different sectors were present including health professionals, property managers and business owners among others. Victorine proved that parenting is the future. She positioned herself as a parenting force to be reckoned with. You can book the motivational speaker of choice for any event. Well done Victorine and good job WAF.
